Tired of Chocolate chip cookies (as if) and looking for something new? Well here they are – a cross between cookies and squares with a chocolate glaze.
Ingredients
- 1/2 cup butter
- 1 cup brown sugar
- 1 egg
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1 cup + 2 tbsp flour
- 1 tsp baking powder
- 1/8 tsp baking soda
- 1 cup chocolate chips
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.
- Cream together the butter and brown sugar.
- Then add the egg and vanilla to the mixture.
- Sift together the flour, baking powder and baking soda.
- Fold the dry ingredients into the butter mixture.
- Mix in 1/2 cup of the chocolate chips.
- Pour the mixture into an 8 x 8 baking pan.
- Bake 30 minutes for chewy squares or 35 minutes for crunchy squares.
- While still warm spread 1/2 cup chocolate chips on top.
- When the chocolate is melted, spread it smooth on the top.
- Cut into squares and enjoy!
