Ingredients
- Nonstick cooking spray
- 1 cup chunky peanut butter
- 1 tsp baking soda
- 2 cups granulated sugar
- 1/2 cup water
- 3/4 cup light corn syrup
- 1 lb. chocolate candy coating
Instructions
- Line a 8×8 cooking pan with parchment paper and spray it with nonstick cooking spray.
- Mix the peanut butter, vanilla and baking soda in a bowl and set it to the side.
- Heat the sugar and water in a medium saucepan over medium heat, stirring constantly, bringing it to a boil.
- Stir in the corn syrup and cook to 300 degrees, then remove from the heat.
- Quickly add the peanut butter, vanilla and baking soda mixture until smooth.
- Slowly pour the mixture into the 8×8 pan and let it cool for 2 minutes.
- Score the candy with a knife into squares.
- Set aside for 4 hours to cool.
- Put the chocolate in a microwave on medium heat for 5 minutes, stirring every minute until completely melted and smooth.
- Let the chocolate cool for 5 minutes.
- Line another baking sheet with parchment paper and set it nearby.
- Use a dipping tool to dip the candy into the chocolate and place on the baking sheet.
- Put the baking sheet into the fridge for 10 minutes to allow to cool.
- Serve the bars after the chocolate has set and enjoy!
