Peanut Butter Chocolate Bars Recipe

Ingredients
  • Nonstick cooking spray
  • 1 cup chunky peanut butter
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • 2 cups granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 3/4 cup light corn syrup
  • 1 lb. chocolate candy coating
Instructions
  1. Line a 8×8 cooking pan with parchment paper and spray it with nonstick cooking spray.
  2. Mix the peanut butter, vanilla and baking soda in a bowl and set it to the side.
  3. Heat the sugar and water in a medium saucepan over medium heat, stirring constantly, bringing it to a boil.
  4. Stir in the corn syrup and cook to 300 degrees, then remove from the heat.
  5. Quickly add the peanut butter, vanilla and baking soda mixture until smooth.
  6. Slowly pour the mixture into the 8×8 pan and let it cool for 2 minutes.
  7. Score the candy with a knife into squares.
  8. Set aside for 4 hours to cool.
  9. Put the chocolate in a microwave on medium heat for 5 minutes, stirring every minute until completely melted and smooth.
  10. Let the chocolate cool for 5 minutes.
  11. Line another baking sheet with parchment paper and set it nearby.
  12. Use a dipping tool to dip the candy into the chocolate and place on the baking sheet.
  13. Put the baking sheet into the fridge for 10 minutes to allow to cool.
  14. Serve the bars after the chocolate has set and enjoy!
